I joined Ann Summers as an agency Operative, in between jobs not looking to stay long. Five years later, here I am, Shift Manager... of around 30 fantastic colleagues.
As well as being local for me, the shift flexibility also initially attracted me - working on the 2pm-10pm shift, I never have to wake up early or even use an alarm clock!
The longer I’ve been part of the buiness, the more logistics expertise I’ve gained, and genuine opportunities have presented themselves for me to develop and grow.

I look forward to seeing my co-workers everyday - they make work so enjoyable. ​It’s also a great place to learn different roles and... skills within the warehouse industry, developing my experience and knowledge.
Everyday is different, from completing customer orders picking or packing, to stock counting or even processing returns.
This makes the job fun, not doing the same task each and every day.

As an agency worker for almost 4 years, I wasn’t sure at the time if a permanent role would be flexible enough for me. ​However..., I finally joined the permanent logistics team and I wish I’d done this sooner!​
Not only is the 6am-2pm shift ideal for me, but the people are genuinely so nice I sometimes need to remind myself that it’s work.
