An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our UX team as a JavaScript developer. You will join a rapidly growing UX team and help us to deliver engaging digital experiences for our customers. You will report to the Senior UX & Optimisation Manager, and become our in-house technical expert for developing robust and intuitive experiences via our A/B testing platform.

We are looking for an experienced developer who can establish a best practice development workflow. You should be a problem solver with an analytical mind, a strong attention to detail, and an instinctive sense of how consumers interact with e-commerce services.

You must have…

* 3 years+ JavaScript development experience – including Node & React
* Strong understanding of OO programming
* Strong HTML and CSS skills – with the ability to recreate pixel-perfect designs.
* Experience working with design/prototyping tools (e.g. Adobe Suite, Sketch, InVision, Axure)
* Studied up to degree level in computer sciences or related discipline
* Strong ability to follow detailed briefs to exact specifications
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to time-manage and handle multiple projects effectively to meet deadlines

You should have …

* Experience running UX Tests via testing platforms (e.g. Optimizely, Google Optimize, Qubit, etc.) Experience conducting QA checks on your code
* A strong understanding of digital metrics and measurements
* An analytical brain - comfortable interpreting statistics & data visualisations
* Ability to prototype and present ideas to a range of stakeholders
* A passion for problem solving

This position is based at our Head Office in Whyteleafe, Surrey (off J6 of the M25, 20 minutes from East Croydon Station)

Summary of Key Activities:

1) Assist UX Manager with planning and development of UX testing projects

2) Develop robust A/B Tests to drive key customer experience improvements

3) Work with the UX Designer to produce pixel-perfect code across supported devices

4) Conduct QA testing to ensure A/B tests are functioning to the highest standards

5) Ensure all UX tests are measurable within digital analytics tools

6) Assist with research, ideation and analysis of new UX testing opportunities

7) Assist with Identifying key segments on the website in order to target with digital experiences

8) Ad-hoc support/cover for Web Design team in updating the website, where necessary

9) Make regular use of user experience tools to understand our customer

10) Assist UX Manager with identifying potential new technology platforms and 3rd party suppliers

11) Maintain core skills and influence among peers by attending conferences and events
