Multi-Channel Trade & Planning Manager

Forecasting and Trading
* Manage and develop trade and promotional plans to meet the overall business and product category sales plans, working with the Merchandising and Channel teams to ensure alignment.
* Ensure weekly, monthly and seasonal trade activity is planned and executed, as well as having a longer term strategic trade plan in place.
* Work with customer insight team to gain information that will deliver the businesses desire to have a more personalised customer centric activity planner.
* Deliver clear briefs to execute promotional activity with your key internal and external stakeholders across Buying, Merchandising, Marketing and Retail.
* Work in collaboration with the merchandising teams to monitor sales performance against strategic business objectives.
* Build and own forecasting for the business. Ensure the board is informed on performance against the forecast, sharing opportunities and risks.
* Work with Merchandising and Channel teams to provide yearly forecast and quarterly reforecasts.

Reporting 
* Continual review of sales performance and KPI’s highlighting risks and opportunities which should be fed into trade and budgeting process.
* Develop reporting requirements for the Buying & Merchandising function and manage implementation of new reports as required.
* Continually review and enhance the current reporting suite to ensure it is fit for purpose and services all stakeholder requirements.

Price and Promotions
* Review of cross channel departmental and promotional performance working closely with channels to understand current trade with recommendations to drive profit, both in the short and long term.
* Working collaboratively to oversee all line information for sale & manage the price changes relating to it.
* Create report pack to clearly communicate promo/sale performance and make recommendations for future trading plans

Allocation and Branch Merchandising
* Management of Trading and Allocation Manager and together develop:
* Robust plan for Peak trade across all Channels to ensure we are delivering all strategic requirements within department to maximise sales, margin and stock performance.
* Overview of store grading and space planning. Work alongside Merchandising team to continually improve and report on space and store grades
* Accurate product availability reporting and improve on stock availability in conjunction with building a store replenishment plan that reduces stock levels whilst maximising store deliveries to drive towards order from store.
* Store opening, refit & relocation reporting & analysis with recommendations for improving performance.

Must Have:
* Strong commercial & numerical background
* Highly organised with a pragmatic approach to problem solving
* Strong stakeholder management, obtaining information and buy-in, in support of initiatives and ideas across the organisation will be crucial.
* Self-motivation, enthusiasm, results-focus and resilient
* Ability to build and maintain robust relationships that drive collaboration
* Extensive experience of forecasting and setting targets and budgeting
* Proven man-management abilities with a track record in leading, motivating and developing a team
* Advanced Excel

Preferred
* Strong background in trading & commercial decision making
