Wholesale Category Manager

This poistion sits within our International Business team.

Description:

1 Continually identifying new opportunities for wholesale partners to maximise sale and profit
2 Assuring the orders from wholesale partners are placed in line with the core orders to ensure products availability
3 Assisting in account management of all wholesalers, maximising volumes and in season buys.
4 Acts as the key point of contact for wholesale partners for day to day operational matters;
5 Attending budgeting and business review meetings with wholesale partners
6 Ensuring brand representation with wholesalers is up to our brand standards
7 Seeing all opportunities to trade over and above budgets with all partners.
8 Product development and international exclusives in line with brand direction; working with buying teams to develop product to cater for different international requirements and fill gaps in the ranges.
9 To implement best practice into team to deliver maximum output and offering partners great levels of service
10 To manage relationships with Buying and Merchandising teams to ensure partner product requirements are met
11 To understand the Ann Summers product buying cycles and to drive/influence the buying to get wholesale products and partner requirements
12 To work effectively with Merchandisers to drive Wholesale accounts, focusing on meeting partner requirements whilst planning and developing for the future
13 Build relationships across the Ann Summers business functions and other Brands to ensure best practices are met and maintained
14 Meeting of the Company`s Values.
15 Work closely with Buying to arrange and prepare for buying meetings with wholesale partners.
16 Understand the buying product life cycle to manage the critical path between partners and Ann Summers own cp.
17 Work closely with the team to assist in the preparation image packs of product to send to each wholesale partner, tailoring to each specific wholesaler to meet their customer requirements.
18 International travel required to meeting with partners.
19 Assist with the preparation of exhibits and trade shows from product selection for samples being shown, gathering any information or content needed by design and marketing to meeting with prospective partners with the team during the exhibition.

Desired Skills and Experience:

* Currently working as an established Assistant Buyer/Junior Buyer looking for a new challenge in a Wholesale.
* Ideally with a background in branded buying but product development buying will be considered
* Understanding and management of critical path.
* Have an established track record of driving business forward
* Be able to demonstrate pro-activity in sourcing new ideas and inspiration
* Possess commercial awareness
* Demonstrate good analytical skills, excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
